Lecope Tablet

Lecope Tablet contains levocetirizine, an antihistamine used to help relieve allergy symptoms. Each tablet contains levocetirizine as labelled and is taken by mouth as a tablet. It is used for common allergy problems such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and hives (urticaria).

How it works: Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine, a natural substance that causes allergy symptoms like itching, swelling, and sneezing. As a tablet, Lecope Tablet is swallowed and then absorbed to help control symptoms throughout the day.

Because Lecope Tablet is a standard oral tablet form, it is suited for adults and children old enough to swallow tablets who need a once-daily antihistamine. Compared with liquid forms, the tablet is convenient for routine use and may be preferred when a simple, precise dose is needed.

• Seasonal allergic rhinitis
• Perennial allergic rhinitis
• Sneezing and runny nose
• Itchy, watery eyes
• Hives (urticaria)

• Swallow Lecope Tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor tells you to.
• Take it at the same time each day if you are using it regularly for allergies.
• It can be taken with or without food.
• If it makes you sleepy, many people prefer taking Lecope Tablet in the evening.
• Do not take more than directed, even if symptoms continue.

Each Lecope Tablet provides levocetirizine as labelled per tablet. The usual adult dose for levocetirizine tablets is often once daily, but the exact dose and how long to take it depend on the reason for use, your age, kidney function, and your doctor’s instructions. Do not exceed the prescribed maximum daily dose.

Do not change your dose or stop the medicine without speaking to your doctor.

Common side effects of Levocetirizine may include:

• Sore throat or nasal dryness

• Lecope Tablet can cause drowsiness, so use caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.

• Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, since levocetirizine may need dose adjustment.
• Use extra caution if you have trouble emptying your bladder or have an enlarged prostate.
• Tell your clinician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Lecope Tablet.
• Do not combine it with other antihistamines unless a doctor says it is okay.
• Older adults may be more sensitive to sleepiness and dizziness from this tablet.

• Alcohol
• Other antihistamines such as diphenhydramine or cetirizine-containing products
• Sedatives or sleep medicines
• Opioid pain medicines
• Anxiety medicines or muscle relaxants that cause drowsiness

Store Lecope Tablet in its original strip/box at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
