Levitra 60 mg Tablet is a prescription tablet that contains 60 mg of vardenafil in each tablet. Vardenafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Levitra 60 mg Tablet is used to help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) get and keep an erection when sexually stimulated.

How it works: Vardenafil in the Levitra 60 mg Tablet helps relax blood vessels in the penis so more blood can flow in during sexual arousal. Because it is a tablet, it is swallowed and absorbed through the digestive system before it starts working.

Levitra 60 mg Tablet is a higher-strength product than the Levitra 20 mg Tablet and Levitra 40 mg Tablet versions sold in the same brand line. This strength may be chosen only after a doctor has assessed whether a higher vardenafil dose is appropriate, because stronger tablets can increase both effect and the chance of side effects. It is not a routine starting strength.

Each Levitra 60 mg Tablet provides 60 mg of vardenafil per tablet, which is a high dose compared with the lower 20 mg and 40 mg tablet strengths. This medicine is taken only as needed, not more than once in 24 hours, and the exact dose and whether this strength is appropriate must be decided by a doctor. The 60 mg tablet is not meant for everyone and should not be used to self-adjust treatment.

Common side effects of Vardenafil may include:

• Limit alcohol, since alcohol can worsen dizziness and reduce erection response.
• Tell your doctor if you have eye conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa or a history of vision problems.
• Do not take it with other PDE5 inhibitors or other ED medicines.
• Get emergency help for chest pain, a prolonged erection, or sudden vision or hearing changes.

• Nitrates such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide
• Alpha-blockers used for blood pressure or prostate symptoms
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ritonavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole, and clarithromycin
• Other PDE5 inhibitors or ED treatments
• Alcohol, especially in larger amounts
