Restream 5 Tablet

Restream 5 Tablet is a prescription medicine containing solifenacin 5 mg in each tablet. It belongs to a class of medicines called antimuscarinics, which help relax the bladder muscle. Restream 5 Tablet is used to treat overactive bladder symptoms such as sudden urges to urinate, frequent urination, and urine leakage. This pack contains a strip/box of 10 tablets made by Tas Med India.

How it works: Solifenacin in Restream 5 Tablet blocks muscarinic receptors in the bladder, which helps reduce involuntary bladder contractions. Taken as a tablet by mouth, it gradually helps improve bladder control over time rather than giving immediate relief.

Restream 5 Tablet is the 5 mg tablet strength, which is commonly used as an initial or standard dose when a clinician decides solifenacin is appropriate. Because it is a tablet, it offers a simple once-daily oral option and may be chosen when a doctor wants to start treatment at a lower dose before considering any increase based on response and tolerability.

• Overactive bladder
• Urgency to urinate
• Frequent daytime urination

• Swallow Restream 5 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Take it once daily at the same time each day, exactly as prescribed.
• You may take it with or without food.
• Do not crush, split, or chew the tablet unless your prescriber specifically tells you to.
• If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is close to the next dose; do not double up.
• Do not take extra tablets to make it work faster.

Each Restream 5 Tablet provides 5 mg of solifenacin. The usual frequency is once daily, but your doctor decides the exact dose and whether 5 mg is enough for you; some patients may stay on this strength, while others may need a different dose based on benefit and side effects. Do not exceed the dose your prescriber recommends, and do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours unless specifically instructed.

Do not change your dose or stop the medicine without speaking to your doctor.

Common side effects of Solifenacin may include:

• Dry mouth
• Constipation
• Blurred vision
• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Stomach upset
• Headache

• Tell your doctor if you have trouble emptying your bladder, bowel blockage, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, or a history of prolonged QT or abnormal heart rhythm.
• This 5 mg tablet may still cause dry mouth, blurred vision, or drowsiness, so use caution with driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Alcohol can worsen dizziness and drowsiness, so limit or avoid it unless your clinician says it is safe.
• Use caution if you take other medicines that can slow the gut or cause constipation, because solifenacin can make these effects worse.
• Do not use Restream 5 Tablet if you cannot pass urine or if your doctor has told you that you have gastric retention.
• Older adults may be more sensitive to anticholinergic side effects such as confusion, constipation, and dry mouth.
• Tell your prescriber if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy so they can decide if this tablet is appropriate.

• Other anticholinergic medicines, which can increase dry mouth, constipation, and urinary retention
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, or ritonavir, which can raise solifenacin levels
• Other medicines that may prolong the QT interval or affect heart rhythm
• Medicines that cause constipation or slow stomach emptying, including some opioids and certain antidepressants
• Other bladder medicines for overactive bladder, unless your doctor specifically directs the combination

Store Restream 5 Tablet in its original strip/box at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and out of reach of children.
