9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) is an eye drop that contains latanoprost, a prostaglandin analog used to lower pressure inside the eye. Each drop delivers 0.005% latanoprost solution in a 2.5 mL bottle, and it is prescribed to help treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. By reducing eye pressure, 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) helps lower the risk of optic nerve damage and vision loss. It is a prescription eye care medicine, not a cure, and it must be used exactly as directed by a clinician.
How it works: Latanoprost is a prostaglandin analog that helps fluid drain more easily from the eye. As an eye drop, 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) lowers pressure inside the eye by improving outflow of aqueous humor.
9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) is a standard-strength latanoprost eye drop designed for regular once-daily use in patients whose eye doctor wants pressure control with this specific concentration. Because it is an eye drop rather than a tablet or injection, it works locally in the eye and is generally chosen for long-term treatment rather than rapid symptom relief. The 2.5 mL bottle size is practical for patients who need a smaller supply or who are starting treatment under close monitoring.
Each bottle of 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) contains 2.5 mL of latanoprost eye drop solution, with each drop delivering the prescribed 0.005% strength. It is typically used once daily in the affected eye or eyes, and using it more than once a day may reduce how well it works. Your doctor decides the exact dosing schedule and whether this strength is right for your eye pressure goals.
Do not change your dose or stop the medicine without speaking to your doctor.
Common side effects of Latanoprost may include:
Get medical help right away if you notice:
Store 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) at room temperature, tightly closed, protected from light, and keep it out of the reach of children.
Use 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) exactly as your eye doctor prescribed, usually once daily in the evening. Wash your hands, place one drop in the affected eye, and avoid touching the dropper tip to keep the bottle clean.
It is usually not used more than once daily because extra doses may make it less effective. If you miss a dose, use it when you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose.
The most common effects are eye redness, mild stinging, and temporary blurred vision after dosing. Some people also notice longer eyelashes or gradual darkening of the iris with continued use.
You should remove contact lenses before using 9 PM Eye Drop 2.5 mL (0.005%) and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. This helps prevent the preservative in the eye drop from being absorbed by the lenses.
