Urofin Eye Drop is an ophthalmic antibiotic medicine containing ofloxacin as labelled in each eye drop, supplied by Positif Life Sciences in a strip/box of 10 eye drops. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone class and is used to treat certain bacterial eye infections. Urofin Eye Drop works only against bacteria, not viruses or allergies, and it is meant for use in the eyes only.
How it works: Ofloxacin stops bacteria from making the DNA they need to grow and multiply, which helps the infection clear. When used as an eye drop, Urofin Eye Drop delivers the medicine right to the infected eye area for local antibacterial action.
Because Urofin Eye Drop is the only listed strength and form, it is the standard eye-drop presentation for doctor-directed treatment of eye infection. This form is chosen when a clinician wants local antibiotic action directly on the eye surface, with dosing adjusted to the infection and the patient’s age rather than by self-selection of a different strength.
Urofin Eye Drop contains ofloxacin as labelled in each drop, and the exact dose for your infection is set by your doctor. It may be used several times a day at first, then less often as the infection improves; do not exceed the schedule prescribed, because the maximum daily use depends on the condition being treated and the eye being treated. The 10-eye-drop pack is for completing a short doctor-directed course, not for routine self-use.
Do not change your dose or stop the medicine without speaking to your doctor.

Get medical help right away if you notice:
Store Urofin Eye Drop at room temperature in the original strip/box, away from excess heat, moisture, and light, and keep it out of reach of children.
Urofin Eye Drop is used to treat certain bacterial eye infections, such as bacterial conjunctivitis or keratitis, when caused by germs that are sensitive to ofloxacin. It does not work for viral pink eye or allergy-related eye irritation.
Use Urofin Eye Drop exactly as prescribed and put the drops only into the affected eye or eyes. Wash your hands first, avoid touching the dropper tip, and wait a few minutes between this product and any other eye medicine.
It is usually best not to wear contact lenses during an active eye infection unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Contacts can irritate the eye and may make recovery slower.
The most common side effects are brief burning, stinging, eye irritation, and temporary blurred vision right after the drop is used. Get urgent medical help if you have swelling, a rash, trouble breathing, or worsening eye pain or vision changes.
