Eszomax 20 Tablet contains esomeprazole 20 mg in each tablet. It belongs to the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class, which lowers the amount of acid your stomach makes. Eszomax 20 Tablet is used to treat acid-related problems such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive esophagitis, and stomach or duodenal ulcers. It may also be used, when prescribed, to help prevent ulcers in people at risk from certain medicines.

How it works: Esomeprazole blocks the acid pumps in the stomach lining, so the stomach makes less acid. In tablet form, Eszomax 20 Tablet is swallowed whole and then released in a way that helps the medicine reach the stomach before it starts working.
