Gayacid 20 mg Tablet contains 20 mg of rabeprazole in each tablet. It belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which help reduce stomach acid. Gayacid 20 mg Tablet is used to treat acid-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive esophagitis, and stomach or duodenal ulcers. It is also used in some patients to help prevent acid-related injury when prescribed by a doctor.

How it works: Rabeprazole in Gayacid 20 mg Tablet blocks the acid-producing pump in the stomach lining, which lowers the amount of acid made. As a tablet, it is swallowed whole and absorbed to provide longer-lasting acid control rather than immediate relief.

Gayacid 20 mg Tablet is a standard adult-strength rabeprazole tablet and is not a lower starter dose.
