Metoclopramide

Metoclopramide is a prescription anti-emetic medicine used to help relieve nausea and vomiting. It is also used in some patients to improve stomach emptying when digestion is slow.

It works by blocking dopamine signals in the brain and by helping movement through the stomach and intestines. It is not for long-term use unless directed by a clinician, and it may cause sleepiness, restlessness, or movement-related side effects in some people.
