Tazarotene

Tazarotene is a prescription retinoid used on the skin. It is available in cream and gel forms from brands such as A Ret TZ 0.1% w/w Gel, Tazotop Forte Cream, Texara Forte Cream, Texara Gel, and Zorotene Forte Gel. It helps normalize skin cell turnover and can reduce clogged pores and rough, thickened skin.

Tazarotene is commonly used for acne, psoriasis, and other skin conditions such as fine wrinkles and sun-damaged skin, depending on the product strength and the prescriber’s advice. It can cause dryness, redness, peeling, and irritation, so it should be used exactly as directed. Avoid use during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed and discuss sun protection, since skin may become more sensitive to UV exposure.
