Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used in eye-care products such as drops and ointments. It works by stopping susceptible bacteria from making proteins they need to grow and spread.
It is used for certain bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and other external eye infections. Use exactly as prescribed, and do not use it for viral or fungal eye problems. Contact a clinician if symptoms worsen, irritation becomes severe, or you have signs of an allergy.
