Heartace 5 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine that contains ramipril 5 mg in each tablet. Ramipril belongs to the ACE inhibitor class and is used to help lower blood pressure, protect the heart, and reduce the risk of certain cardiovascular problems. Heartace 5 mg Tablet is taken by mouth as a standard oral tablet, making it a practical option for long-term blood pressure and heart care when a clinician decides it is appropriate. It is used in adults for conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and to lower risk after certain heart events in selected patients.

How it works: Ramipril relaxes blood vessels by blocking the formation of angiotensin II, a chemical that normally narrows arteries. In tablet form, Heartace 5 mg Tablet is swallowed and absorbed so it can help blood flow more easily and lower the workload on the heart.

Heartace 5 mg Tablet is a middle-strength ramipril tablet, so it is often chosen when a prescriber wants a dose above a very low starting amount but still wants room to adjust treatment carefully. Because there are no other Heartace strengths in our range, this 5 mg tablet represents the single available tablet strength and may fit patients whose doctor has already assessed their response and tolerance to ramipril. It is not meant to be started or increased on your own.

• Swallow Heartace 5 mg Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

• If it upsets your stomach, taking it consistently with food may help.
• Stand up slowly after the first doses, especially if you feel dizzy.

Each Heartace 5 mg Tablet provides 5 mg of ramipril. • Lithium
• Sacubitril/valsartan or other ACE inhibitors
