Istavel 50 mg Tablet contains sitagliptin 50 mg in each tablet. It is an oral diabetes medicine in the DPP-4 inhibitor class used to help improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes, along with diet and exercise. Istavel 50 mg Tablet is not insulin and is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Your prescriber may use it alone or with other diabetes medicines, depending on your treatment plan.
