Pantakind Tablet is a pantoprazole tablet made by Mankind Pharma, India, and each tablet contains pantoprazole as labelled. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that lowers the amount of acid your stomach makes. Pantakind Tablet is used for acid-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and stomach or duodenal ulcers.

• Swallow Pantakind Tablet whole with water; do not crush, split, or chew it.
• Take it about 30 to 60 minutes before a meal, usually before breakfast unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
• Try to take it at the same time each day for the best acid control.
• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose; do not double up.
• Do not use it for sudden relief of active heartburn unless your clinician has specifically instructed you to do so.

Each Pantakind Tablet contains pantoprazole as labelled, and the exact dose schedule depends on the condition being treated. Many patients take it once daily, but some people may need a different schedule or a temporary higher total daily dose under a doctor’s direction; the maximum amount you should take in 24 hours is set by the prescriber.

• Review all medicines with your pharmacist or doctor because pantoprazole can interact with some drugs that need stomach acid to absorb properly.
• Avoid starting or stopping medicines such as blood thinners, antifungals, or HIV medicines without medical advice while taking Pantakind Tablet.

• Warfarin or other blood thinners
• Clopidogrel

• Ketoconazole, itraconazole, or similar antifungals
• Atazanavir or nelfinavir
