Granisetron

Granisetron is a prescription anti-emetic used to help prevent nausea and vomiting. It belongs to a group of medicines called 5-HT3 receptor antagonists, which work by blocking serotonin signals that can trigger the vomiting reflex.

It is commonly used around chemotherapy or surgery to reduce nausea and vomiting. Granisetron should be used only as prescribed, and you should tell your clinician about heart rhythm problems, bowel obstruction, or other medicines you take before starting treatment.
