Ropinirole

Ropinirole is a prescription anti-parkinsonian medicine available in generic form and under brands such as Requip XL, Ropark, Role, and Roparil. It works by stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, helping replace some of the dopamine activity that is reduced in movement disorders.

It is used for Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome. Common side effects can include nausea, dizziness, sleepiness, and low blood pressure, and it may cause sudden sleep episodes or impulse-control problems in some people. Use only as directed by your prescriber and do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
