Fincar 5 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine that contains 5 mg of finasteride in each tablet. Finasteride belongs to a class of medicines called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. It is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and in some cases a doctor may also consider it when treating hair loss, depending on the patient’s situation and dosing plan. This is a tablet taken by mouth, manufactured by Cipla, India, and supplied in strips/boxes of 10 tablets.
How it works: Finasteride in Fincar 5 mg Tablet blocks the enzyme that turns testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Lower DHT can help shrink an enlarged prostate over time and may also slow hair follicle miniaturization when finasteride is used for hair-related treatment under a doctor’s care.
Fincar 5 mg Tablet is the higher-dose finasteride tablet, so it is not the same as lower-strength finasteride products used for hair loss. This 5 mg strength is typically chosen when a clinician wants the full finasteride dose for prostate-related treatment or a specific off-label plan, rather than the lower-dose tablet commonly used for male pattern hair loss. Because it is a stronger tablet, it should only be used when a doctor has decided this strength is appropriate.
Each Fincar 5 mg Tablet provides 5 mg of finasteride per tablet. The usual frequency is once daily for approved uses, but your doctor may individualize the schedule based on your condition and response. Do not take more than 5 mg in 24 hours unless your prescriber specifically instructs otherwise.
Do not change your dose or stop the medicine without speaking to your doctor.
Common side effects of Finasteride may include:
Get medical help right away if you notice:
Store Fincar 5 mg Tablet at room temperature in its original strip, protected from moisture and out of reach of children.
Fincar 5 mg Tablet is mainly used for benign prostatic hyperplasia, or an enlarged prostate. A doctor may also consider finasteride in certain hair-loss plans, but the 5 mg tablet is the higher-strength version and is usually chosen for prostate-related treatment.
Swallow Fincar 5 mg Tablet whole with water, usually once daily if your doctor prescribes it that way. Do not crush or split the tablet, and follow your prescriber’s instructions exactly because this is the 5 mg strength.
Finasteride does not work instantly, and benefits are usually gradual over weeks to months. With Fincar 5 mg Tablet, your doctor will monitor your symptoms and decide how long you should continue treatment.
Fincar 5 mg Tablet is not for use during pregnancy, and pregnant people should not handle broken or crushed tablets. In general, this medicine is prescribed for adult men, and women should only use it if a clinician specifically directs otherwise.
I'm a woman and use it to help reduce hair loss. As a nice bonus, it also seems to improve my urine flow.
Excellent product.
I hope you continue the great work and keep delivering as promised.
