Tugain 10% Solution is a topical hair-loss medicine that contains minoxidil 10% w/v in each bottle. It belongs to the vasodilator class and is used to help slow hair loss and support regrowth in people with certain types of alopecia. Because this is a higher-strength solution, Tugain 10% Solution is generally used when a clinician decides a stronger topical option is appropriate.

How it works: Minoxidil helps widen blood vessels and improve blood flow around hair follicles, which may help follicles stay in the growth phase longer. In solution form, Tugain 10% Solution is applied directly to the scalp so the medicine can act where thinning is happening.

Tugain 10% Solution is stronger than Tugain 2% Solution and Tugain 5% 60 mL Solution, so it is not the usual first choice for everyone.
