Rozavel 20 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine that contains 20 mg of rosuvastatin in each tablet. It belongs to the statin class, which is used to help lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, reduce triglycerides, and raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol when needed. Rozavel 20 mg Tablet is also used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications in people at increased risk. This strength is a mid-range option in the Rozavel line and is meant for patients whose doctor has decided a stronger dose than the lower tablets is appropriate.

How it works: Rosuvastatin in Rozavel 20 mg Tablet works by blocking an enzyme your liver needs to make cholesterol. That helps your liver remove more LDL cholesterol from the blood, which can improve lipid levels over time and support heart health.

Rozavel 20 mg Tablet is stronger than Rozavel 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg Tablets, but lower than Rozavel 40 mg Tablet. Doctors may choose Rozavel 20 mg Tablet when a moderate-to-high cholesterol-lowering effect is needed and lower strengths are not enough. It is not a typical starting strength for everyone, so it should be used only after a clinician has assessed your cholesterol levels and overall risk.

• Avoid taking it during pregnancy; rosuvastatin can harm an unborn baby.

• Tell your clinician about any unexplained muscle pain, fever, or extreme weakness, especially if you are also dehydrated or unwell.
