Osteofos 70 mg Tablet contains 70 mg of alendronic acid in each tablet. This Cipla tablet is taken by mouth and is used as part of a treatment plan that also includes calcium, vitamin D, exercise, and fall prevention when appropriate.

• Take Osteofos 70 mg Tablet first thing in the morning after you get up, before any food, drink, or other medicines.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water only; do not chew, crush, or suck it.
• Stay upright for at least 30 minutes after taking it and do not lie down during that time.
• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything other than water, or taking calcium, antacids, iron, or other medicines.
• Take it exactly on the schedule your doctor prescribes; this 70 mg tablet is not meant to be taken more than directed.
• Do not take it at bedtime or before you get out of bed for the day.

Each Osteofos 70 mg Tablet provides 70 mg of alendronic acid. Depending on why it was prescribed, it may be taken once weekly or on another schedule decided by your doctor; do not take more than 70 mg in one day unless specifically instructed.
