Intawin 400 Tablet

Intawin 400 Tablet is an oral antifungal medicine that contains fluconazole 400 mg in each tablet. It belongs to the azole class of antifungals and is used to treat and help prevent certain fungal infections when a doctor decides a higher-strength tablet is appropriate. Intawin 400 Tablet is manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and is supplied as a strip/box of 10 tablets.

How it works: Fluconazole in Intawin 400 Tablet works by blocking a fungal enzyme needed to make ergosterol, an essential part of the fungus cell wall. Without this protective layer, the fungus cannot grow properly and gradually dies off, which helps clear the infection.

Intawin 400 Tablet is a higher-strength fluconazole tablet, so it is not the same as the lower-dose Intawin 200 Tablet. A doctor may choose Intawin 400 Tablet when a larger single dose or a higher total daily dose is needed, which can reduce the number of tablets taken for some treatment plans. Because it is a stronger tablet, it should be used only when prescribed and not swapped in place of a lower strength without medical advice.

• Try to take each dose at the same time on scheduled days if you are using it for repeated dosing.

Each Intawin 400 Tablet provides fluconazole 400 mg per tablet.
