Olmax 20 Tablet

Olmax 20 Tablet is an oral tablet that contains olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg in each tablet. It belongs to the angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) class and is used to help treat high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems related to hypertension. This is a prescription medicine from Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, India, supplied in a strip/box of 10 tablets.

How it works: Olmesartan medoxomil in Olmax 20 Tablet blocks angiotensin II from tightening blood vessels. This helps blood vessels relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure over time.

Olmax 20 Tablet is a mid-strength version of olmesartan medoxomil and is often chosen when a doctor wants more blood-pressure lowering than a lower-strength tablet would provide, but does not yet need the higher Olmax 40 Tablet strength. Because it is a standard tablet, it does not work instantly; blood-pressure improvement is usually felt gradually with regular daily use.

• Lithium levels may increase when taken with olmesartan.
• Other drugs that affect the renin-angiotensin system, such as ACE inhibitors or aliskiren, may increase risk in some patients.
