Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine that contains 40 mg of tadalafil in each tablet. Tadalafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, which are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet is a higher-strength tablet formulation and should only be used when a clinician has decided that this dose is appropriate. It is not for everyone, and it is not meant to be taken casually or more often than prescribed.

How it works: Tadalafil in Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels in the penis, which helps increase blood flow during sexual stimulation. The tablet form is taken by mouth and then absorbed into the body, where tadalafil can help support an erection when you are sexually aroused.

Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet is stronger than the Tadasoft 20 mg Tablet we also carry, so it is generally reserved for patients who need a higher tadalafil dose after medical evaluation. Because it contains more tadalafil per tablet, the effects and side effects may be more noticeable, and a doctor may choose it only when lower-strength options are not enough or are not suitable.

• Swallow the Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet with water unless your prescriber tells you otherwise.
• Take it only as directed by your doctor; this is a high-strength tablet and is not a routine starting dose.
• It may be taken with or without food.
• Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours unless your prescriber specifically instructs you to do so.
• Sexual stimulation is still needed for tadalafil to work; the tablet does not cause an automatic erection.
• Avoid heavy alcohol intake, which can make side effects such as dizziness or low blood pressure more likely.

Each Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet provides 40 mg of tadalafil, which is a higher-strength dose than the 20 mg tablet. How often it can be taken, and whether it should be used at all, must be decided by a doctor; do not self-adjust the dose. In general, tadalafil should not be taken more than once per day.

Common side effects of Tadalafil may include:

• Do not use Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet if you take nitrates for chest pain or recreational nitrites, because this can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
• Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, low blood pressure, stroke history, severe liver disease, severe kidney disease, or eye problems before using this higher-strength tablet.
• Avoid taking it with other PDE5 inhibitors or other medicines for erectile dysfunction unless your prescriber specifically instructs you to do so.
• Use extra caution with alcohol, since alcohol can worsen dizziness, flushing, and low blood pressure.
• This 40 mg strength may increase the chance of side effects compared with lower strengths, so it should only be used under medical supervision.
• Be careful when driving or operating machinery until you know how Tadasoft 40 mg Tablet affects you.
• Tell your doctor about all medicines you take, especially alpha-blockers and blood pressure medicines.

• Certain antifungals and antibiotics that can raise tadalafil levels
• HIV protease inhibitors and other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
