Intawin 200 Tablet is an antifungal medicine that contains fluconazole 200 mg in each tablet. It belongs to the triazole class of antifungals and is used to treat certain fungal and yeast infections when a doctor prescribes this strength. Intawin 200 Tablet is taken by mouth and may be chosen when a higher oral dose is needed for a specific infection or treatment plan.

How it works: Fluconazole works by blocking a fungal enzyme needed to make ergosterol, a substance fungi need to build their cell membranes. With the tablet form of Intawin 200 Tablet, the medicine is absorbed from the stomach and travels through the body to fight susceptible fungi and yeast.

Intawin 200 Tablet is the 200 mg strength, which is higher than many lower-dose fluconazole tablets and is not usually the first strength people start with on their own. A doctor may choose Intawin 200 Tablet when a higher once-daily or intermittent dose is appropriate based on the infection type, severity, and the person’s medical history.
