Arnicor 50 Tablet

Arnicor 50 Tablet is a prescription tablet that contains sacubitril and valsartan in the labelled strength of 50 mg per tablet. It belongs to the angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) class and is used to help manage chronic heart failure in appropriate patients, usually along with other heart medicines. Arnicor 50 Tablet may also be used in patients with certain types of heart failure to lower the risk of worsening heart failure and hospitalization.

How it works: In this tablet, sacubitril helps the body keep natural substances that relax blood vessels and reduce strain on the heart, while valsartan blocks a hormone that tightens blood vessels and raises blood pressure. Together, Arnicor 50 Tablet helps blood flow more easily, lowers the heart’s workload, and can help improve symptoms in certain patients with heart failure.

Arnicor 50 Tablet is a lower-strength tablet compared with Arnicor 100 Tablet and Arnicor 200 Tablet, so it may be chosen when a doctor wants a gentler starting step or needs to build the dose gradually. Because sacubitril and valsartan can lower blood pressure and affect kidney function or potassium, this strength is often suited for people who need closer titration before moving to a higher strength.

• Swallow Arnicor 50 Tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush, chew, or split it unless your prescriber says otherwise.
• Take it exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily, because the tablet strength is part of a planned dose schedule.
• You may take it with or without food, but try to take it the same way each day for consistency.
• If it makes you dizzy or lightheaded, rise slowly from sitting or lying positions.
• Do not take Arnicor 50 Tablet together with an ACE inhibitor; there must be a washout period if switching medicines, as directed by your clinician.

Each Arnicor 50 Tablet provides sacubitril 24 mg plus valsartan 26 mg. This strength is commonly used as part of a twice-daily treatment plan, but the exact dose, timing, and whether you stay on this strength or move to Arnicor 100 Tablet or Arnicor 200 Tablet must be decided by your doctor. The maximum daily dose depends on your individual plan and kidney function, so do not change the amount on your own.

• Nausea
• High potassium, which is more important to monitor as the dose is increased

• Arnicor 50 Tablet can cause dizziness, so be careful with driving or tasks that need alertness until you know how it affects you.
• Tell your doctor if you have a history of angioedema, because this medicine can cause dangerous swelling in some people.
• Use caution if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or low blood pressure, since this strength may still lower pressure further.
• Do not use during pregnancy, and tell your clinician right away if you become pregnant.
• Avoid taking it with ACE inhibitors, and do not use it with aliskiren if you have diabetes.
• Potassium supplements, salt substitutes, and potassium-sparing diuretics can raise potassium too much.
• Alcohol may worsen dizziness or lightheadedness.
